The San Jose Diagnostic Center founded on February 14, 2014 by the local government unit (LGU) under the administration of Mayor Antonio B. Chavez has been drawing praises for its free services from the local populace of this municipality.

The Center is offering free ultrasound examination, blood chemistry and electro cardiographic examination. Meantime, the X-Ray equipment is not yet in operation pending installation of the necessary transformer by CASURECO IV.

Mayor Chavez said that he knew how difficult it would be for most people nowadays, to save money to avail the said services offered in most cases by private hospitals or even for hospitalization. Even more disheartening, he stressed, is the high costs being spent just to ascertain their illnesses such as ultrasound scan, blood chemistry examination, X-Ray and ECG that he experienced himself. Instead, most of the poor people would just have to endure the pain of their sickness because they could not afford the costs involved for consultation, diagnosis, and medicine.

He further stressed that this “Libreng Serbisyo Program” is a continuing commitment of his administration believing that his constituents deserve the best service that the LGU can find and made available to them.

Accordingly, after seven months of continuing operation, the San Jose Diagnostic Center has already served a total of 717 patients broken downs as follows: Ultrasound – 122; ECG – 327; and Blood Chemistry – 268.
