The local civil registry office of the local government of San Jose recently received a regional award as the First Placer (Small Category) among the Top Performing Local Civil Registry Offices in the Bicol Region. Accordingly, this is the sixth regional awards received in the same category.
Meanwhile, the first national award was also received last August 6, 2014 during the 7th National Workshop on Civil Registration in Cebu City. The LCRO-San Jose was awarded as the 6th placer (Small Category-National Level) for its performance and delivery of civil registration programs and activities in 2013.
The first place regional award was received by the Municipal Civil Registrar, Mrs. Muriel L. Abragan and her staff member, Maria Christine C. Remetir last November 28, 2014 during the Year-End Assembly and Civil Registration Workshop held at the Bagasbas Lighthouse Hotel, Resort, and Restaurant in Bagasbas, Daet, Camarines Norte.
The certificate of recognition was given by the Interim Regional Director of the Philippine Statistics Authority Region 5 Office, Cynthia L. Perdiz and Ronaldo R. Eborde, President of the Bicol Association of Civil Registrars, Inc., and the awarding ceremony was witnessed by Philippine Statistics Officer, Clemente S. Manaog and other participating civil registrars in the Bicol Region.
Following the LCRO-San Jose in that order of awards were Tigaon, Sagnay, both also in Camarines Sur; Pio Duran, Rapu-Rapu, Oas, and Camalig, all in Albay; Palanas, Masbate; Castilla and Gubat, both in Sorsogon.
