A 6-seater air-conditioned ambulance was recently acquired and inaugurated by Mayor Antonio B. Chavez. The blessing of the vehicle was conducted by Rev. Fr. Christian Bernard B. Eduardo, Parochial Vicar of the St. Joseph Parish on September 1, 2014 right after the regular First-Monday-of-the-Month mass held at the lobby of the municipal building of the local government of San Jose.

Mayor Chavez said that the new state-of-the-art ambulance is worth about ₱1.15 Million bought out of the LGU’s calamity fund. It will serve as a transport vehicle for emergency patients coming from his municipality to the hospitals in Naga City. Accordingly, the same will be used by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) for its search and rescue operations, and in ferrying evacuees to the evacuation centers during times of disasters like typhoons, floods, earthquakes, other similar calamities.

The vehicle is fitted with the state-of-the-art equipment such as oxygen tank with regulator accessories, tube, stretcher, and a fire extinguisher.

The blessing and inauguration was witnessed by Engr. Chito Milante, Municipal Planning Development Council Officer; Mr. Manny D. Clidoro, Human Resources Municipal Officer; Mrs. Mariko Laura F. Milante, Municipal Budget Officer; Mrs. Imelda G. Caballero, Municipal Accountant; Mrs. Myrna C. Pacamarra, Municipal Treasurer; Mr. Lito C. Martirez, Municipal Assessor; Mrs. Muriel L. Abragan, Municipal Civil Registrar; Mr. Joel Panga, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer; Engr. Raymund P. Cam, Municipal Engineer, Dr. Arnel P. Armea, Municipal Health Officer; Mr. Adolfo C. Bruzo, Municipal Agricultural Officer; Mrs. Helen J. Mendoza, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer, and some of the rank file employees of the municipality.
