Twenty five (25) Trainees from the different barangays of San Jose partook in the Culminating Activity on January 22, 2018 at San Jose Cultural Center, San Jose, Camarines Sur after finishing Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I under the program of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Sustainable Livelihood Program in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of San Jose under the administration of Mayor Antonio B. Chavez and in partnership with Genova Technological Institute, Inc. (GTI), Cabusao, Camarines Sur.
The graduates have undergone thirty-three (33) days of training which is equivalent to two hundred sixty-eight (268) hours under the GTI starting from November 20, 2017-December 23, 2017 and consequently passed the National Certificate I (NC I) based from the Assessment conducted on December 26, 2017.
Mayor Chavez challenged the new graduates to even more improve their performances in their future employment and reminded them to always put into account their actions since they are bearing the municipality of San Jose .He conveyed that the program signifies that unemployment rate is being lessen that is why he told them to give appreciation to the program since it is where their future lies.
The Vice-Mayor, Hon. Virgilio Panuelos encouraged the graduates to never waste the opportunity given to them because it will help upgrade their future.
The graduates were presented by Mr. Barry G. Bonzo, GTI Trainer.
