A 3-day San Jose Tourism Focused Group Discussions and Exploratory Conference will be held on January 27, 28, and 29 this year at Port Alfred Hotel and Resort in Talisay, Dolo, San Jose, Camarines Sur, Tourism Officer-Designate Diosdado P. Valencia recently announced.

Mr. Valencia stressed that the objective of the said conference will be to explore and maximize tourism potentials into products towards development, sustainability, profitability and integration; to locate and encourage both public and private stakeholders to intensively engaged in the tourism industry, and to prioritize it as an alternative socio-economic program of the local government unit of San Jose.

He further said that during the said conference it is expected that the tourism office will be able to generate data and other inputs for tourism development and promotions. It would certainly lead to the formulation of a Comprehensive Master Plan in Tourism.

In line with this tourism conference, Mayor Antonio B. Chavez said, a reorganization of the Municipal Tourism Council will be on top of its priority in order to serve as the sustaining partner for planning, implementation and monitoring of all tourism programs of the LGU. He said that LGU San Jose is now on strategic planning gearing towards the preparation of hosting a National Convention For Sustainable Tourism hopefully on February 2016.
