LGU-San Jose receives a new award

The Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), has spoken, as they announced last December 3, 2013 the winners for the “1st Tabang sa Negosyo Award” with a theme “Anoman na Ikararahay Kan Tawo. Ikararahay man Kan Negosyo” at Villa Del Rey Function Hall, Provincial Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur
The winners were selected from different categories; Category 1: 1st to 3rd class municipality and category 2: 4th to 6th class municipality.
For category 1 LGU Pili won the Golden award while the town of Libmanan, Bato and Tigaon bagged the Silver award respectively. And for Category 2, the Municipality of San Jose headed by Mayor Antonio B Chavez proclaimed as the Golden Awardee as Most Business Friendly Local Government Unit for the year 2013.
Both winners received cash and plaques of appreciation worth Php. 50,000 for Silver award and Php. 100,000 for Golden award from the sponsor.
Special citations were also given to Naga City and Iriga City for their exceptional programs and initiatives in business Industry.
The Municipality of San Jose was proclaimed as Golden Awardee because it pursues a development in Tourism and Agro-Industrial that is ecologically balance and powered by enlightened, healthy and morally upright citizen founded by the belief of “Sa Matanos na Gobierno ang Tawo ma Asenso”.
In his remarks, Mayor Chavez thanked the board of trustees of CCCI, Governor Villafuerte and the organizers of the event.
“This award is indeed very inspiring to the extent that LGU-San Jose will work harder to increase investment more specifically in the Tourism sector, especially now that many investors are coming in to put up their resorts in our municipality and I hope that in few more months or years San Jose will make known as the Convention Capital of Partido.” Mayor Chavez said in his privilege speech.
The event was sponsored by the Province of Camarines Sur Governor headed by Migz Villafuerte, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and PAGCOR.
The board of directors of CCCI, PPCI and other sponsoring entities are very positive in their speech and looked forward that the cash could really help the winning municipality to increase their investment whether in Agriculture, Infrastructure, Tourism, etc, in an honest form of government.
Mr. Eduardo Nicolas III-PPCI vice Pres for Luzon is hoping and anticipating and encourage more private and public organization to join their forces next year as they host once again the “2nd Tabang sa Negosyo Award”.
Department heads Mariko Laura F. Milante-Budget Officer, Myrna P. Pacamarra-Municipal Treasurer, Alexis P. Olalia-MPDO, and Manny C. Clidoro-HRMO-Designate and other staff were also present to accompany Mayor Chavez in receiving the award.
