The San Jose District MAPEH/Cultural Coordinators Association recently held the 1st Rondalla Recital which showcase cultural and musical talents of the elementary pupils coming from the different elementary schools under the jurisdiction of San Jose District in San Jose, Camarines Sur.

The cultural and musical presentation started at around 8:30 AM by the rendition of the national anthem performed by the SJCS Star Kids Flute group and conducted by Mrs. Daisy D. Luneta. It was followed by an opening prayer led by Mrs. Annie P. Pabines, Kinalansan ES MAPEH/Cultural Coordinator; welcome address by Mrs. Alice Buenafrancisca, MAPEH/Cultural Coordinators President and opening remarks by Mr. Arnel Pasa, District MAPEH coordinator.

Meanwhile, Manny D. Clidoro, the Acting Municipal Administrator of San Jose delivered a short message in behalf of Mayor Antonio B. Chavez. He was followed by Dr. Maria Alice Fe V. Cilos, PSDS and Mrs. Imelda A. Nardo, EPS-1-MAPEH of San Jose District.

The different elementary schools of San Jose District rendered their own respective presentation thru their selected talents as follows: Adiangao ES – Modern Dance; elementary/community schools of Bagacay, Bahay, Calalahan, Calawit, Danlog, Dolo, Salogon, San Jose Central, Telegrafo, and Tominawog had their solo voice presentation; selected pupils coming from the elementary schools of Clemente Peña, Calalahan, Minoro, Obias (Pugay), Palale, and Sabang personally delivered their respective “Tigsik” to the delight of the many spectators; while elementary schools in Telegrafo presented Ethnic Dance; San Jose Central – choir, Camagong – Ballroom dancing; Tambangan – Folkdance, and Catalotoan – vocal solo of Mr. Joselito Pielago of Catalotoan.

The recital proper showcase the following performances: Banduria Solo by Alexa Valencia; Laud and Octabina by Selected players; and another Banduria Solo by Mary Margarette D. Luneta. Selected Banduria Players were also asked to perform while the finale was performed by the San Jose District Rondalla.

The last part of the program proper was the induction of the elected officers of the Association for the School Year 2015-2016, namely: Alicia Buenafrancisca – President; Marites Romero – Vice President; Jean Rivero – Secretary; Edna Tubao – Treasurer; Nilda Peteza – Auditor; Shirley Clarianes – PIO; Margie Abanes and Narissa Pacis – Business Managers; Cynthia Correa – Muse; and Joselito Pielago – Escort.
