Over a thousand members of the Volunteers for Community Development (VCD) are expected to attend their 6th Foundation Anniversary on September 7, 2014 to be held in Barangay Pugay.
Volunteers for Community Development VCD) is a socio-civic organization founded on September 2008 by then radioman, and now Mayor Antonio B. Chavez and his brother, Caloocan City Administrator Cesar B. Chavez with the chief aim of undertaking various social and civic activities to spur unity and cooperation among the people towards economic progress and development.
The group’s accomplishments include medical and dental missions with more than a thousand beneficiaries and the various help and assistance extended to victims of typhoons, floods and other calamities.
Mayor Chavez and his brother, Cesar, are expected to grace the occasion as is usually done for the past several years.
During the occasion, there will be reading of reports on accomplishments, and the re-assessment and organizational planning will follow afterwards. There will be games and gift-giving, as well as raffles for prizes. (TSG Staff)
