Mayor Antonio B. Chavez of LGU-San Jose lauded the municipal employees for their very satisfactory performances last year. He congratulated the employees during the first regular meeting conducted last January 5, 2015 at the municipal lobby for their splendid role, cooperation, hard work rendered, increasing enthusiasm and continuing commitment which significantly contributed to the series of successes that attributed to a number of awards received by the municipality. Thus, it overwhelmingly increased the popularity of his administration among the San Joseneans.

With the aim of sustaining these highly commendable performances, re-assignments of employees to several key posts and positions commensurable of their experiences and qualifications will be accentuated to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of work and governance. This would be a new policy framework that would standardize performances presently being undertaken by the Human Resource Department (HRD) after a series of careful study and evaluation to ensure the delivery of basic frontline services to the people.

Mayor Chavez gave the assurance to the employees that re-assignments would not be in anyway contrary to the existing civil service laws and regulations that would affect salary and benefits discrepancy or adjustments, demotion in rank and functions, or against security of tenure. He further said that a memorandum to this effect will soon be released by his office.
